UP THE DRIVE  SERVICES

  • Both trash and recycling will be collected on weekly service via "Up-the-Drive Services"
  • Please place all trash in bags then into containers to ensure efficient and clean collection.
  • Containers or bags must be placed in front of home or garbage for driver to easily locate.
  • Place all recyclables in 32 gal container provided by GFL.  If all recycling does does not fit into 32 gal container, you may place in other container clearly marked for recycling.  Local clean sweep programs may offer alternative options for disposal of fluorescent light bulbs, household hazardous waste, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.
  • Please keep 6 ft of clearance between the containers and other objects, especially garage doors and parked vehicles.

DO NOT PUT THE FOLLOWING IN  YOUR RECYCLE CONTAINER:

  • Styrofoam of any kind
  • Trash
  • Construction Material
  • Clothing
  • Yard Waste
  • Electronics
  • Shredded paper (loose or bagged)

ITEMS ALLOWED IN YOUR RECYCLE CONTAINER

  • Clean aluminum foil
  • Tin cans, steel cans and aerosol cans
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • #1, #2, and #5 type plastics
  • Milk cartons, juice boxes, soup cartons
  • Newspapers, magazines, books, school/office paper
  • Brown corrugated cardboard
  • Gray Chipboard (cereal and shoe boxes)
  • Brown paper bags

SEE MAP LISTED BELOW TO CHECK ON WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK YOUR GARBAGE IS PICKED UP.

AS PART OF THE CONTRACT, GFL WILL PROVIDE A NEW RECYCLING CONTAINER TO EACH HOUSEHOLD WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN DELIVERED IN NOVEMBER.  If you do not want your old recycling container from Waste Management/Advance.  Please put a note on it for GFL to take and put out with your weekly pick up.

Residents will continue to use their own containers for Trash

EACH CONTAINER SHALL NOT EXCEED 32 GAL IN SIZE AND 50# IN WEIGHT

WM will collect the old blue recycle bins in December. 

The Town and GFL appreciates your cooperation in allowing WM to retrieve their property. 

Holidays observed by GFL are:    New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.  Weekly pick-up can be adjusted if there is a holiday on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday that week.

Garbage and Recyclables must be placed on an accessible part of the driveway the night before collection day or prior to 6:00 a.m. on scheduled day of collection.

Household garbage must be contained in plastic bags and in containers that do not exceed 32 gallons in volume or weigh no more than 50 pounds each.

Recyclable items accepted for pickup up include: bi-metal and aluminum cans, pots and pans, glass bottles and jars; plastics #1, #2, and #5 (liquids out caps on), paper, cardboard, food boxes and cartons.  For a comprehensive list please visit:   Recycle More Wisconsin

Cardboard must be no larger than 2’X2’ and contained within the recycle container.

Trash and recycling material must be placed in a visible and accessible area so that the driver is able to pull up to the items.  Driveway must be clear of obstacles with adequate room for the driver to maneuver the truck providing a safe distance from other objects, including vehicles.

Other bulky items including appliances and tires will be collected on an on-call basis for a fee paid directly to GFL and must be prearranged with GFL.

Bulk Waste Service

GFL will pick up one bulk item per week at no charge with certain requirements.  Items must be manageable by one person, not to exceed 50lbs  Bulk Items must be placed curbside for Collection.  Some Bulk Waste will be collected on an on-call basis for a fee paid directly to GFL and must be prearranged with GFL. Tires and Appliances must be scheduled for pickup.  PLEASE CALL GFL @ 1-262-367-6040 to schedule a special pickup and that item needs to be by the road by 6:00 am.  Certain Items requirement payment for pick up. See below.

  • 1 piece of furniture (No Charge)
  • 1 (32) gallon container of building material, nails & screws must be taken out or pounded down. (No Charge) (Not to exceed 50lbs)
  • Building material  (with nails & screws taken out) exceeding the 1 container (Extra Charge of $20/cubic yard for above and beyond)
  • 4 rolls of carpeting/padding (rolled and tied, no longer than 4 foot in length, no heavier than 50 pounds). (No Charge)
  • Carpeting exceeding the 4 rolls listed above (Extra Charge of $20/cubic yard for above and beyond)
  • Appliances will only be picked up for a $40 fee.
  • Appliances with FREON  will only be picked up for a $55 fee.

Items must be manageable by one person not to exceed 50 pounds.

Items NOT accepted for pickup include ELECTRONICS, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, LIQUID PAINT.  See Waukesha County Website for more information.
