Town Wide Re-Assessment Coming This Summer

The Town of Merton will be doing a Town Wide Re-assessment of properties in 2025.

Under the state law (sec 70.05(5)(b), Wis Stats) each municipality must assess all major classes of property within 10% of full value in the same year.  The Town's properties are currently assessed well below the market value, triggering the Town Wide Re-assessment.

Notices will be sent out this summer and we will let you know when to start to look from them.

The Assessor will meet with residents on July 15 and 16 in person at the town hall.  How to make an appointment will be in the letter they send out.
