About the Highway Department

The Highway Department is responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance activities related to Town of Merton roads and public right-of-ways. 

A driveway permit is necessary for new construction and replacement driveways.  In order to have a second driveway access, applicants should get approval from the Highway Superintendent, Paul Griffin (262-966-2118) and then approval through the Plan Commission.
